The Navy Midshipmen will be taking on the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Fight Hunger Bowl later this month, but first they'll get a chance to tag the rival Army Black Knights with another loss when those two teams meet at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:00pm ET, with Navy set as the favorite for the game on the college football betting lines at Bovada as they look for their 11th victory in a row over Army.

Midshipmen win seven games, qualify for bowl
Navy struggled at the outset of the season, losing three of their first four games to Notre Dame, Penn State, and San Jose State – while beating only Virgina Military in that span. The Midshipmen, though, found the going easier over the second half of their campaign as they lost only to Troy in posting a record of 7-4 SU – but only 4-7 ATS – on the season. Along with being a poor ATS option, Navy also went only 3-7 on the OVER/UNDER in 2012.
Against Texas State last time out Navy managed to pick up a 21-10 win at home but they failed to cover the 13-point spread on the college football betting lines at Bovada - giving them four ATS losses in their past five games. Midshipmen quarterback Keenan Reynolds attempted only eight passes in that contest, completing three of them for just 35 yards. Instead, Navy moved its offense on the ground as Noah Copeland rushed for 110 yards and two scores on 17 carries. Gee Gee Greene ran for 71 yards and a touchdown on the day.
Black Knights coming off a two-win campaign
While Navy struggled at times during the season, Army struggled all year long as they went just 2-9 SU and 3-8 ATS on the year while posting an OVER/UNDER mark of 5-4-1 for totals bettors at Bovada. The Black Knights' only wins this season came against Boston College on October 6 (34-31) and against Air Force on November 3 (41-21), and they're coming off their worst defensive outing of the season – a 63-32 thumping by Temple.
Army had actually been favored by 3.5 points against Temple, who got seven rushing touchdowns from Montel Harris in that game. Black Knights quarterback Trent Steelman was good on just 3 of his 7 pass attempts in that defeat for 70 yards, but he rushed for 139 yards and three scores on 20 carries. Larry Dixon ran for 106 yards on nine carries.
Navy looking to run winning streak to 11 games
The Midshipmen have won 10 straight games against the Black Knights dating back to 2002, covering the posted spread at the sportsbooks in seven of those contests. As well, totals bettors have watched the UNDER pay out in each of the last six Army/Navy games. Last season Navy topped Army 27-21 as a 7-point favorite on the college football odds. The last time Army beat Navy was back in 2001, when they won 26-17 as a 1.5-point favorite.
For Saturday afternoon Bovada has Navy listed as a 7-point favorite once again, and after the contest they'll start preparing to play Arizona State in the Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco on December 29. The Black Knights' season will end on Saturday.
